Public information reports, 1999-2006.

PIOs, or Public Information Officers, are employed by state agencies to provide the public and the media with information they request about state government. Unlike Press Relations staff, PIOs are not responsible for marketing or other related activities. Rather, they respond to information requests in compliance with state and federal law. This series consists of daily reports prepared for the Governor's Communication Director. These reports list information requests made and responded to by PIOs in various state agencies.
